I’m trying to decide which sessions to go to at BLISSDOM CANADA OH GOD SO EXCITED.
Content I: If a Blog Falls in the Forest? : How to get your blog to make a sound and Content II: Kicking It Up A Notch: How to be a Content Creating Ninja.
Both of these sound pretty good. I would go to either one, so I’ll probably just tag along to whichever one Sara Hamil is going to (She’s my conference buddy!). The fact that Catherine Connors of Her Bad Mother is presenting the second one makes me lean towards it, as she is all kinds of awesome.
Collaborative/Community Sites: Is Bigger Better? : Citizens of Sisterhood or Lost in the Crowd?
I might go to this if it doesn’t conflict with another session I’m more interested in.
Work/Life Balance: Peaceful Coexistence Between Life and Laptop
Probably not attending this one. I live alone, no partner, no children, no pets, and most of my friends much prefer to live on the internet, like myself. Work/Life balance isn’t a concern for me.
Monetizing I :Making Money From Blogging: Fiscal Fact or Fiction? and Monetizing II:Cashing In with a Reality Cheque
I have a tumblr where I talk about Kpop and videogames. I’m really not expecting to make money off this.
Women Entrepreneurs & Canadian Business Basics: What the Blogging M.B.A. would be… if it existed.
This sounds amazing and Tricia Mumby from Mabel’s Labels is presenting! This is a must attend for me.
Blogging for Social Action, Community And Empowerment: The Beauty of the Butterfly Effect
This one also sounds interesting, and social justice is one of my passions. Hopefully these two don’t conflict.
Brand Building. Your Brand is More Than Your Tagline : Managing Perception & Reality
I’ve read enough about branding over the last three years to last me a lifetime. Pass.
So there’s four I really want to attend, and three I’ll pass on. That’s a pretty good ratio for most conferences, I think.
Now please excuse me, I’ll be over here counting down the days.
